INGREDIENTS

  • The violet balls
  • Sweet purple potato (peeled): 200g

  • Sugar: 40g (note 1)

  • Condensed milk: 2 tbsp

  • Glutinous rice flour: 150g (note 2)

  • The golden balls
  • Delica pumpkin (peeled): 150g

  • Sugar: 40g (note 1)

  • Condensed milk: 2 tbsp

  • Glutinous rice flour: 150g (note 2)

  • Other ingredients
  • Corn/ potato starch: q.b

  • Water (for cooking): q.b

Preparation

  • The violet dough
  • Cut the peeled sweet purple potatoes into pieces and steam them for 30-40 minutes.
  • Put the cooked pulp into a big bowl and mash it into purée using a folk.
  • Add in sugar and condensed milk. Mix them well.
  • Add the glutinous rice flour little by little into the bowl and knead all ingredients into a compact dough.
  • Cover the dough with plastic wrap and rest it while working on the golden color dough.
